dying from weed

I had a bad experience once. I had smoked some pot, potent stuff too. Well, I was laying down listening to my heart beat, and I got the idea that if I didn't listen to it, it would stop beating. This made me edgy and I started breathing faster/more. After a while, I hyperventilated, over-oxygenated my system. What happened then was I got massive, and I mean fucking horrible, body-wide cramps. My fingers and arms clenched so tight that a guy twice my size couldn't forcefully unclench my fingers without breaking them.

Suddenly fearing for my life, I asked a couple of friends to take me to the hospital. On the way, I realized that the hospital could be bad news, as I was in the Army at the time, and they'd surely find drugs in my system, or suspect drugs. So I changed my mind and asked to go to the barracks. My friends helped me into the barracks and threw me in the shower and turned the heat on the water up, and within an hour I was fine.

Freaked me out bad though! Never happened again. I'm pretty sure it was just my body whacking out from an overabundance of oxygen brought on by hyperventilating, which was brought on by the paranoid feeling that if I didn't pay strict attention to the beating of my heart, it would stop beating and I'd die. Very painful cramps, just excruciating, was sore for days.
