What about baked.com?? I've recently started posting there and i dont even think there are any mods who go on there and if there is they dont go on regularly? Who runs or owns that site because i have no idea I would like to ask if i could become a mod there, to whoever makes the decision there is so much flaming going on there and i would love to sort Rating: 5

It was out of the blue....one of the mods asked if I would meet them in chat, I thought I was in for a lil' talk to tell ya the truth. Me and another member from politics were going at it hard and heavy.........LOL...I thought I was in for a spanking!!!

There's alot of people in here that would probably make good mods. Like I said, never say never!

Lip, some of this is about keeping things cool but you also possess skills in cultivation....knowledge is an asset.

Hahahah... I remember reading that thread. Then a few days later everyone started talking about a mod. I just sat there and went aaaaaah psycho4bud.

The difference is big though. I think that cannabis campbell and billionfold have both done remarkable jobs cleaning the site and helping out when they can. However, both psycho4bud and bobbong were both passionate about the cannabis community. I feel sometimes both Campbell and Billionfold hold back on their true opinions because it's the "right" thing to do. However, the ONLY reason I'm able to respect psycho4bud is because he was never afraid to entirely speak his mind and argue with anyone, in a dignified manner, who felt like calling him out. BobBong had a long history here and had definitely connected with many members here before he became a mod, including myself.

And when he had the pink floyd avatar, I never thought he would be a fan of the beverly hillbillies. I'm not a big fan of pink floyd, but simmin pools and movie stars!

It's easy to be a moderator , it doesn't take too many brains... it's very easy to be diplomatic in text on a computer (i'm comfortable with it)... if you know the rules of the website and understand the topic well enough, I think anybody can make a good moderator.

Thanks Graph, but thats not at all true i always give my honest opinion on anything regardless of weather people agree with it or not and i try to help out in any situation.

The only time where i wouldn't say anything (like billionfold) is if i think it would cause a flamewar or something which is no good so i just dont say anything

But i would never say something which i dont agree with just because i think its the 'right' thing to do. :thumbsup:

The only reason I would hold back my true opinion is if it would cause a flamewar or something else unwanted. Sometimes I think I'm too spontaneous(sp) and goofy to be a mod. I don't know if it effects the overall opinion people may have of me or not... I've not had any problems at all with anyone on these boards, that I can remember. The only one I can recall was Smokin Dope, I think is his username. But we resolved it. I post alot in the Lounge, and occasionally wander off to recreational to see what's up. I'm good at answering questions and breaking up fights. But like I have said before, you do not need to be a mod to be a respected CannCom member. If I was called upon to help out as a moderator, I'd do it because I love this site and I love the people who post on it.
