It's not surprising that FEMA would do this. Why invite negative criticism? Then again, they do have a point: "FEMA says it's not allowing media easy access to its trailer parks in order to "protect the privacy" of those dwelling there." I can imagine that reporters from sites like infowars and prisonplanet, as well as actually legitimate news sources, would love to go did up some juicy dirt and wouldn't care who they bothered in the process.

Bottom line is that the trailer parks are private property and the owners of that property can do whatever they want. If someone there has something to say they can always meet a reporter at a coffee shop across town. Once I start hearing that they're not letting anyone out of the parks I'll start getting a bit more upset.
