gas mask

ive got a couple of gas masks... and ive seen bongs made out of them but i cant seem to get it to work quite right... has anyone done it before? and if so can you tell me how?

it seems everytime i try to add a water pipe to the air filter i can never get the piece that closes it off to work quite right and when i exhale it blows water out of the bowl instead of the exit hole or whatever its called

I just bought a gas mask off my friend and Im having the same problem

gas masks are designed to allow you to breathe in through the filter and out through the exhaust vents, which are designed to open only with exhale pressure. make sure they are functioning properly, that's your most likely problem, you have to have the bowl piece attached to the (most likely) side part on the jaw where the filter normally screws. I would suggest using a hollowed out filter (you can get 'em at army surplus store) If you still blow out through the bong, then you need to replace the exhaust seals (Part Numbers should be on them, and can be ordered on the internet.)
