How long does it usually take for the buds to dry before you put it in the jars? I cut my girls on Sunday Night, and have them hanging in the closet. I didn't give them any water the last week....so that should help.

at least 7-9 days when the stem snaps the inner stem not entire the outer part then they are ready

You know lip, you dont have to be a prick about it. If you've read any of my other threads, then you'd know that this might be my first grow, but i've done my research, I"ve read the faq's, and now I was trying to get a feel for what other people have "actually" experienced. Some places say up to a week drying, some sites say a few weeks, and some even go as far as saying your bud wont be dry for as much as 8 weeks. I'm not posting this under advanced techniques, i'm starting a thread under "basic growing." How many times do people start threads that say "ok i've planted some seeds....now what?"....jump on their backs.

drying times will vary depending on your drying enviroment.also the smaller buds will usually dry quicker than the colas

My buds take 5 days hanging to dry, then i put them in jars and open them for an hour a day for 2 weeks, then seal them and put them away. the buds are not pungent, or potent unless i do this, and my weed is the most popular around my area. Love your plants and they will love you back, but not tooo much. patience is the key to good weed in my experience.
