i fucking love slayer!! ive got every cd... and i mean every cd. i had no idea they had a new album comiung out!

eya nochowderforyou i know what you mean.. i definitly prefer their new stuff cuz theyve got more rythm and beat to it. ive never been a huge fan of their early stuff. if you want to hear slayer at their best, buy the album "diabolus in musica" or just download the song "love to hate"

I went to that tour show as well in Edmonton July 11th. I heard of COB before, but when I saw them, wow! Amazing band and that Alexi (sp?), he can fuckin play man.

Yup, I see his face all over the place right now in metal/music mags.. At first I was like, what a dumb name for a band, then they played, and it didn't seem so dumb anymore.

HIM was voted one of the best metal guitarists? Damn, that's just gross.

BLS dude is Zakk Wylde. Another one of my inspirations in music. Also quite ballsy, rocking musician.

I love slayer, All their cds are awsome imo...from the beginning to this cd.

I got 3 songs off their newest cd sent to me a couple of weeks ago...I didn't realise there were so many people into slayer here!

Im pretty sure if you search on a bittorrent site you could download them by now...i think it's just the promo cd that is out at the moment

I dunno about the new stuff though...I think they were best doing stuff like 'Seasons the Abyss'.

I think they should stay away from songs about religion too. Ive read that at least one member is a Christian, so it's obviously being shocking for the sake of it. I dont dig it!

I don't think any of them are religious. I can't see it happening! Kerry King is one angry motherfucker, so is Jeff. Tom seems cool, but with a mind like his to write lyrics like he has/does, no one can fake those thoughts.

The only one I think could be is the constant switching of drummers.

They can't just change to not singing anti-religion songs. That's what they're about. The sepration of church and state, anti-authority, anti-religion. If that is all a joke, then yes, I would NOT dig it either.

I don't like actors in a musical sense, so I hope to hell you're kidding.

Wow. That was a good read. I am somewhat dissapointed, but I did know that Kerry and Jeff wrote a lot of the lyrics, and Tom just sang them. I still love them though!

I also read last night that Jeff doesn't even play on ANY of the studio albums. Kerry does all of his parts, with Jeff's rig, with Jeff's guitars, Jeff's sound. He said it's "quicker" that way.

I found that interesting.
