Yeah my dad just got home and is also in a LOT better mood than when I talked to him before. He mentiod the smoke last night, and said, "I don't know if you were smoking last night or not, but even if you were it's not like it's the end of the world anyways."

Things are looking pretty good. My dad still doesn't know for sure, but I think he does have a pretty good idea.

Glad to hear it, man! I'm pretty sure he knows you were smoking, though. lol He probably just said it to calm you down. It sounds like he realizes that you smoke, but that you're doing okay with your life right now, so he isn't going to really interfere.

Alright so last night I was smoking outta my glass pipe, some pretty good shit I might add, but I had put a towel under the door, clogged my airvent with sheets, and then opened the windows and put the fan on blaring right out the window. I made SURE to blow each hit into the fan. I left the fan on about an hour after, just to make sure. Now, this was at like, 2:00 in the morning. I got a very rude awakening this morning. It was my dad... he woke me up & told me my room smelled like pot. This is the second time he's said that after I've been smoking. Now, my dad used to smoke himself, he actually stopped about a year ago. I know he used to, I found his pipes and we talked about it. Now to the good part...

So I'm just playing Socom3 today, minding my own business. I get a phone call from my dad, he basically said good morning, make sure I take the dog out, do the dishes, etc... but then near the end he asked if I was smoking last night. I didn't know what to say, so I just denied it... trying to sound offended. Then, about 25 minutes later I got another call; this time it was my mom. She sounded worried on the phone, but not mad at all. My dad had e-mailed her and told her he has suspisions. I denied it to my mom also. Here's the part where I'm lost...

The gentlemen below me (I live in an apartment) tokes up every now and then. His room is directly below mine, so where does the smoke go? Up to our apartment. I used this as a cover up to my parents, saying it was only him smoking again... but I get the feeling that this time the smell was too strong to be coming from his place. Now, when my dad called he said this, "Corey, were you smoking last night? I'm just curious... I wanted to know, not so I could yell at you or ground you, but just incase something was wrong." Now I was a bit upset yesterday afternoon when I was talking to my dad. I dunno if that means that he wouldn't really care if I was or did in the future or not. He's also said to me about 2-3 months ago, that as long as it didn't effect my grades, he wouldn't really mind if I did. Being an ex-smoker, do you guys feel like my dad would understand all of this? He's usually pretty understanding about things that I do. I'm not worried at all about my mom, she's lived with my dad doing it around me as a child and before that for years, and she's already said she doesn't really see the big deal of it and she doesn't mind it at all.

So... after my enormous (I'm sorry about that, just trying to explain everything in detail.) story, I'm just stuck whether I should let my parents know or not. I know neither or them would send me to drug rehab, or turn me in. I'm just worried I'd have to give up toking till I was 18. (I'm 16 now btw.) Both parents being very, very familiar with weed, I don't know if they'd be more understanding, or if they're trying to lure me into false alarm and into a trap of grounding for the rest of the summer.

I think that you should definately tell them about it, because they are only looking out for you and im sure you dont want to get crap grades either you'll regret it.

Grades first then weed, you can smoke weed 10, 15, 20, 50 years later you cant go back in time and change your grades...

i dont really see why you bothered lying to them if they both already told you they were ok with it if it didnt affect your grades. this title makes it sound like you are facing ten years in jail, when as far as i can tell from my story you are facing...nothing??
