Well i cant see anything in those cups but i'll just take your word for it. If you didnt plant your seeds deep enough the root will find its way by it self just dont water it too much untill it gets fully rooted into the soil. You can plant your seeds as deep as 4 inches though without worrying about them not coming up. You know that they cant stay in those cups the whole time their growing your going to have to transplant them into larger pots later when they start to need more space for their roots. Unless your going to harvest them when they are still realy small. Also make sure you have holes in the bottem of those cups for drainage looks like you have that with the trays under them. Your lights don't look to close at all if anything i would put them closer but it depends what kind of lights your using. You should get them on a watering cycle that your plants can get used to like every few days youll know when to water them again when the top inch or so of soil is dryed out.

THanks I did not even think of the holes in the cups....
I just put a few in each....

So I am also gathering that Schedualing of water and light is even more improtant then I thought....
I am building a room for these....
But it wont be ready for a couple of weeks.... Long Story
But anyway I figured I could get a head start on my plants by starting them first....

it looks as though you have germinated the seeds then dropped them on top of the soil.make a hole around a half inch deep and put the taproot in the soil pointing down next time, and i dont advise using plastic coffee cups from a vending machine to plant your seeds in,put your hand in your pocket and buy yourself a pack of 6-1 gallon pots for £2.50 from B&Q,your plants will appreciate it,and so will you

How inches of dirt is in each cup, it don't look like much roots need something to grow in I would filled up the cups to a least three quarter full or more that way the roots could grow down futher and you will have stronger plant and better survival rate. I would probaly wait until they show some fan leaves and transplant them to bigger grow containers as soon as possible. No root system No Plant. good Luck on your grow and let us know how they do. those pots are way too small and thers nowhere near enugh soil in them. start your seeds off in soil and make sure it will have at least 4 inches of soil under the seed. the main root of a cannabis plant (tap root) needs at least 4 inches of unimpeded growth or it will probably turn out male.
if your using floros put the lights about 2 inches from the top of your plant.
and only water every few days. definitely not every day.
