Like I wrote before: when you go to Holland, try to visit more then just Amsterdam. You havent seen the Netherlands/Holland by visiting Amsterdam. Go a day by train to the south or North (leeuwarden/groningen), or east(utrecht/nijmegen/arnhem...) to see more of the country and find cheaper prices.

Ahoy in Rotterdam is a primo venue for concerts and monster trucks and all sorts of things.
Het Paardje in Den Haag is worth going to for a sweet night out.
Even something as inane as hiring a canoe in Leiden and just trolling round the waterways with a J and some friends can be a pleasant way to waste an afternoon.

PS Good coffee shops in Leiden.
