Just got back from Comic-Con...
It was really fun this year. I was there Friday and Saturday. Friday was more mellow, Saturday was packed.
I got an autographed poster of Futurama (Matt Groening drew bart simpson on it), a picture with Billy West (does a lot of voices, from Stimpy to Zoidberg), autographed copy of Alien Hominid, and a whole bunch of independent comics and business cards.
The Best Part: finally being able to have the word "Professional" printed on my badge.
The Worst Part: seeing a girl have a siezure in the middle of the walkway. She was almost gone by the time I saw her, blue in the face and blood spilling out of her mouth. I called the medics, they took her away. I'm sure she's fine but it still shook me up. I'm sure she's okay, and if she's not, I'm gonna keep thinking she is.
So did anyone else go, or is anyone else planning to go? Am I just a huge geek who has fun at these kinda things? Does anyone know what Comic-Con is?graph Reviewed by graph on . You get some free stuff, but everything fun or interesting you had to pay for. The most I spent on one single thing was 20 bucks, everything else was like 3 or 4. I ended up with about 10 indy comics, a signed poster, a video game, the complete Watchmen series, and Astroboy issue 1, all for about 60 bucks.
Which is pretty damn good, when you consider it.
Matt Groening's pretty big in person. It's funny to hear him talk to you, he talks really quietly and sounds like his tongue is really pushed back in his mouth.

I dunno, it's like a more normal and deeper version a Peewee Herman.
I forgot about the costumes. Some were really cool, there was a woman fully painted and almost fully nude, she was wearing a thong. If you were far away, you would have thought she was fully clothed.
Oh, and there were two really fat women dressed up like they weren't fat. One was wearing a maid outfit(I have no idea what the hell that was about) but it was too short, so you could see her thong going up into the abyss.

Dane Cook stole my shit?
Damn... you ever make something up and then find out someone else has already said it, and then you find out you don't like that person?
Don't get me wrong, he's funny, but in person he's pretty whiny. I only met him for a few minutes, I just kinda got that impression though.
I don't have a scanner but I'll take a picture.

I was having some trouble uploading it at first.
I think we're having rolling blackouts, all my power'll go down for a few seconds and come back up. All my computer parts are hooked up to a back-up power thing though, so it shouldn't be affected.
Oh well, here it is.
