That's is going to depend on what your doing with the plant. If you are vegetating or flowering for a future harvest then you Dad is decreasing your final harvest weight. Tell him "that' not cool". If the plant is in vegetation only for cuttings to be cloned. Then it's okay to prune.

If the you are going to harvest those plants tell him to stop but try not to hurt his feelings. Tell him after you have cut them down then he can remove all the leaves since he has too much free time on his hands.
