What is OxyContin?
OxyContin (oxycodone HCI controlled-release) is the brand name for an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) -- a narcotic. It is available by prescription only and is used to treat moderate to severe pain when around-the-clock analgesic is needed for an extended period of time.

An opioid is any agent that binds to opioid receptors, found principally in the central nervous system and gastrointestinal tract. There are four broad classes of opioids: endogenous opioid peptides, produced in the body; opium alkaloids, such as morphine (the prototypical opioid) and codeine; semi-synthetic opioids such as heroin and oxycodone; and fully synthetic opioids such as pethidine and methadone that have structures unrelated to the opium alkaloids

Bong30 Reviewed by Bong30 on . oxycodone...like weed? hey, i got my wisdom teeth (all four of those bastards) out 3 days ago and got a medication for oxycodone, which my oral surgeon told me is a narcotic (controlled substance in other words) pain releiver. I thought it's just be like strong tylenol or something. For the first two days I took 1 every 6 hours and it made me drowsy and relieved of pain :) , but nothing weed-like. I just took 2 and a half with some tea cause I was curious 30 minutes ago and no fuckin joke, I am High now! Not Rating: 5
