the Colorado River toad and Sonoran Desert toad contain 5-MeO-DMT and bufotenin (two hallucinogenic tryptamines) in their skins that they normally secrete when they feel threatened, and do so as a defensive maneuver. It does not get you high (as others have said) but instead causes you to trip.

You can find more on Erowid, as others have pointed out.
Lethal G Reviewed by Lethal G on . Can you get high from licking a toad? I was reading the article over at http://www.reallymadmonkey.com/index2.php?c=high_toad Sounds like you shouldn't actually lick it, but you should dry it out, kill it, or collect the oil and smoke it instead, so that the fire gets rid of the harmful toxins. Pretty interesting stuff, anyone tried it? Rating: 5
