technically, your friend is wasting weed.

It doesn't really "waste" the weed, but when you burn it that fast and you can't hold it in, not only are you bumming your own trip (cause you're coughing) but the weed continues to burn after you take your hit, so that's wasted weed too.

You have the right idea. Corner the bowl, take in as much as you feel comfortable with. Don't worry about your friend. When he goes broke and can't afford to buy any weed, you'll still be flying. (cause you get high either way, his is just more rapid.)

Couldn't have said it better myself. When I smoke with my friend he packs way more than I do and I feel forced to take bigger hits than i can take (since we match bowls) and when i'm by myself I can get high off of a 1/3 bowl or 1/2 bowl...

I have a herb conservation and maximumization strategy when it comes to sparkin a bowl. I spark parts at a time (assuming a large enough bowl, unlike my tiny ass new piece) and attempt to fully burn the herb under the top all before I toast the top(takes some skill to mvoe the cherry like that). This way the last hit is always greens. Unfortunately, my new piece is too small to do this, but I got real good at it with my last 2 pieces....

well personally on the green hit i like to hover my liter just over the weed so you kinda get the vaporizer affect after that i just smoke like its pose to be smoked. My liter never really touches the weed just close enough to get it goin ya i think that works to keep it from being torched.

i meant don't take too long hitting the joint. If ur gonna fill ur lungs all the way then be quick with it. It's no fun watching someone down the whole joint becasue they don't know there lungs are full and inhale for 20 seconds.

The more/longer you apply flame to the bowl, the hotter it gets, the more THC is destroyed and noxious chemicals inhaled.

Going back to the talk about the joint, I hate it when people smoke half the fuckin' thing in one hit.
As for hits, I corner the bowl as much as possible, and take small enough hits that I dont cough up a lung. I try to cherry the bowl as much as possible.

it takes 30 seconds for half of the thc in the smoke to condense and enter your bloodstream... so i usually make people follow the 5 second rule

Get your facts straight! you've smoked weed for this long and you don't even know how long it fucking takes... weak dude.... here's how it really is. Fact is, 97% of the THC is absorbed into your lungs after holding the hit in 3 seconds... holding it in any longer is really unneccesary... cause you won't get much higher if any higher at all... but i still do like to hold in my hits as long as possible... i like to get every bit of THC as i can... but get you're facts straight man..... THC absorbs WAY faster than the other nasty shit....
