Hmm guys, I wouldn't be so sure to hate on the guy too quickly.

Coughing is simply clearing your windpipe and lungs. If something irritates your airway, we all involuntarily "cough" to clear our airway. Too much of any smoke will irritate the toughest of airways, so we cough. We cough to clear.

That being said, all coughing really does is dialate some vessel or avioli, allowing the smoke to reach the blood stream faster, but it will not get you any higher than if you didn't cough. Thus, you get high faster when you cough, but not any more so if you didn't cough.

So now can't we all just get along?

Or at least read all these other topics about the same thing and see if there's anything else I might have either left out or screwed up?
