School to randomly test student drivers for drugs
I don't know what guidelines most schools use to justify personal searches on kids, and I've rarely heard of those (like body searches and pat-downs) happening here in my area of Texas. But for some reason, I was thinking that courts have upheld overall school searches even without probable cause, but perhaps I'm wrong. . . . I'll have to ask my friend who's a principal.
I know at my friend's school, the on-campus officers periodically bring the drug dogs around to sniff lockers and stuff, but all the kids know that the dogs come periodically and know better than to keep any illegal stuff there on school grounds. I know most school administrators and teachers in this area worry a whole lot more about weapons than they do about drugs.birdgirl73 Reviewed by birdgirl73 on .
