Lowryder x Santa Maria UK grow
OK I decided to start a seperate thread now that the Santa Maria x Lowryder are starting to grow.
They are 2 weeks old at the moment
Pics! The first 3 pics are just of 3 of the plants.
The 4th Pic shows some damage (maybe bugs?) but I know the pic is a bit crappy. I could see any bugs but will keep a close watch.
Will post more as time goes on...

OK some more pics - looks like I have some (slight) leaf damage and it looks like insects to me.
Must have happened yesterday as it was cooler. Usually the Uber-High temps in the greenhouse pretty much kills anything (greenfly die very fast) so I will keep an eye on this...

It looks like a glasshouse whitefly, which are most common in the UK. There are some instances of the tobacco whitefly in the UK, but they're more rare.
Not sure if you're an organic grower or if your apt to use pesticdes. If you want to go organic with killing it, then parasitic wasps are your answer. Insecticidal soap is also great, I've used it before. I've heard that there are sticky traps for them, as well. Whiteflies also exude honedew, which attracts ants, as well as the honeydew can cause mold issues.
So... looks like you have your work cut out for you. :P Good luck!

I might go with sticky traps - just wouldn't want to nail bees or other "good guys"

OK I have some Neem oil on order and will keep a close eye - haven't seen eggs yet and I'm hoping some of the spots are small water burns from misting...

Sprayed all my plants with a Neem Oil/Soap mix today - stinks but should do the trick hopefully.
Will post some pics once they have grown a little more.
