double sex

HI all long time since ive been here but your always a helpful lot :-) my problem:- im about 4 weeks into flowering of a lovely looking plant, last week i noticed a small flower like thing at the bottom of a branch near the mail trunk, when i touched it i had dust on my fingers , my main concern is that this is pollen and i have a hermaphrodite (excuse spelling) and i have now inpregnated my baby girl (noooooooooooo) if i have what effect does this have on the weed other than it being seedy, can i do anything to slow the process? any help would be greatfully recieved. Im growing indoors under HPS light on 12/12 cycle.

You can't really slow the process much.

When the plant begins to produce seeds, the trich. production stops. The trichs won't grow anymore, and if it is pollinated at 4 weeks flowering, that is about how potent it's going to be. Trichcome production stops once seeds start growing.

Too bad man, that's a bummer. Hermi's happen by stress. Commonly by light leaks, so check your grow area to make sure there are no light leaks, and for next time, don't put your plant rhough any kind of stress, and if you do, make sure it is light stress.

And never, ever, ever! Look at your plants while the light is OFF. People like to do this and it will hermi your plant. When the light is off, it must be off for those 12hrs with no light leaks.

Thanks for the responce Noch, could be light leak which makes it more infuriating as i know how important darkness is while flowering grrrrrrrrrrr. As it has now reached its full potency should i let it keep growing or concider harvesting early while its all white and no seeds have been produced? Its very annoying there was only one male flower on the whole plant !!! but i guess its like normal reproduction just on little swimmer is needed ! how will i be able to tell early that it is seeding? is there any chance it hasnt been put "up the duff"???

not hermie for sure yet... post some pictures of the alleged pollen sac and then you'll get a definate answer.

Ive heard of people cutting the sacs off as they grow and still harvesting preety good bud.
