I've heard both. It is obviously a relaxant, so one would think it helps anxiety.
However, anxiety causes heart rate to increase, same as marijuana, and so one might think it was bad for anxiety.

I dunno. I say, ask a doctor, to be sure.

I would almost say that smoking is a complete personal preference for anxiety. Most mental diseases are hard to diagnose and really are based on what the patient says and thinks helps. I have read both sides and personally I would say that it would be almost impossible to make a true study on it with the present technology that is out today. If you think it does then I would say it does, even if it just acts like a placebo, that is a strong medicine.
