cross country
Ok, well August 12 me and my mom are moving from Iowa to North Carolina, and we are driving. My question is, if i had a bag of bud in my bag in the car would it be safe? Normally i wouldn't think anything of it, but i think of that scene from Rolling Kansas where they have the dogs searching the cars and shit, does that really happen? I've never driven through states like that, and If i got caught by the dogs that would suck.

You may go through some state boarder lines with a check point but you should be fine just make sure it is secure, safe and hidden.

and it shouldn't smell. i'd be most worried about your mother getting charges brought against her. if she doesn't know about it, you're putting her at risk by bringing it. IMHO either tell her or don't bring it. if she does know, then like i said you don't want it to smell, don't put it in the glove box, find somewhere very discreet. most likely you'll have no problems, but you never know. can't be too careful in our hypocrytical country

man how do you think weed gets from state to state? its not taped to an paper airplane and thrown over the state line, people go through those checkpoints with pounds in the trunk, just dont draw attention to yourself and you'll be fine.

Checkpoints...what the? You're in the U.S. right? Did something change I don't know about? I moved from New Jersey to Texas, drove all 1550 miles over 3 days and 3 hotel stays. Wasn't no checkpoints...I can count on both hands the number of troopers and locals we saw on the way down. Just put it in a tupperware container or something and smoke it. If you get to an 'open air' restop with the roof and floor openings, blaze one up...just make sure it's off hours.
EDIT: I've never seen Rolling Kansas so I don't know what you speak of. But by in large, states do not maintain permanent 'checkpoints' at borders...and I've travelled through A LOT of states.
