i love my kitty!
Hey again! Well, the last time we weighed OJ, he weighed something like 16 pounds. It's really sad. And he gains even more weight in the wintertime when he eats more. He really needs to be on a diet, but I leave food out for him and Buddy, my other cat, and Buddy's really skinny and needs to be encouraged to eat whenever he wants. I don't know what the solution is. I like pudgy animals, but I know it's not healthy for them.

I had a cat, that daily would catch mice or birds.

I had a lowryder dog (dachshund),
I didn't know that he was bred for hunting, lil' runt types of creatures like badgers and rabbits... I got emotional when both of my bunnies were attacked. Good lil watch dogs, keen ears and a deep bark. He needed a good fence though, big dogs or coyotes could've eaten him, without a barrier, he aint nothin.

That's so cool! A 20-year-old cat! I hope my two boy cats live that long. My last cat, who was a calico kitty, only lived to be 12 or so. She died of lymphoma. My younger sister and her husband have a white cat, Winston, who's 18 or 19. He doesn't have many teeth left, but he's still getting by.

We honestly believe he does this just to connect with her and comfort her, letting her know she's not alone. He's been very therapeutic for her during this illness. yeah, cat's toes are cool....
it's fun gently squeezing the cat's toe because the claw pops out
It reminds me of the comic book character, "Wolverine", that character had retractable and extendable claws

Yeah, I like to squeeze cat feet gently. They're cool. I have to squeeze the feet of my orange cat to trim his talon-sharp nails so when he lies in bed and reaches out to touch my sister's face he doesn't scratch her.

I quit doing that after a while, because one day my cat snatched one of my arms with both sets of his claws, then while he had me motionless, for fear of more pain, he cocked both ears back, then opened his mouth and put his sharp, scary-lookin teeth around my skin......all I could do was say, "AHHHH!!...no, no, stop, AHHHHH!" Eventually, he pulled his mouth away, then I slowly dug his claws out of my skin.
petting my cat was scary too, I had to stand as far back as possible, if I was getting ready to quit, because he would most often swing at me and cut me. That way he would miss because all I had to do ws pull my arm away before he could react and scratch me
I was a 3rd or 4th grader at the time.
