Cops. I fucking hate them. You know why? Because, although there are some cool cops that genuinely live by the "protect and serve" rule, most of 'em are dirty, power-abusing fascists. First, the assholes of our society are automatically drawn to policing. It allows them to continue beating up on people. It's the only job on the market that will allow them to legally throw their weight around like that. Stereotypes are not fair, but they all must hold SOME truth. The cop stereotype is that they are stern, ultra-conservative, assholes. Unfortunately, this one hits right on the money. Being a cop gives individuals an insane amount of power compared to most. It does things to people's heads. Carrying around a gun and being actively and constantly avoided by the general public screws with people's heads. It alienates them. There ARE good cops out there. Just not many.
