BTW, I think the vial is a fantastic idea!
I'm so torn on what we're going to do. In one way, I'd just like a regular burial.....but that means we could never move from here because I'd never leave them behind.
BUT, your way does sound best. They'd always be with me.
Once again, I am so sorry for your huge loss.

All dogs go to heaven...
I found this for ya.........sorry to hear of your loss.
Once a dog has entwined himself round your heart
he is not only yours for life, but you are his.
When he is gone, his place is forever sacred.
Other dogs are just as precious
but they all have their allotted spot in your
affections kept for them or their memory.
A heaven without one's dogs
would not be the heaven we hoped for.
A dog is always man's best friend.

I have been reading so much poetry on losing a pet, it makes me realize that I'm not the only one who loves my pet like my own child...

im gonna be pretty down when my dog dies, shes getting old (shes 11) but shes never been sick, never had any infections or diseases, and is active, has good eyes, and has shitloads of energy. Shes also in great physical shape, so hopefully she'll live for a while longer.
My city put up a memorial last year for pets. You pay a few hundred dollars and your pets name is carved into a brick (the smooth gray ones like tombstones) and set into a path with the other engraved bricks, and then theres a bulliten bord where you can post poems or whatever. Its right at the start of a multi use trail right beside the bay, so its a scenic spot that is easy to get to and afterwards you can walk the trail.
