Sin City is a very fine piece of work by the Mexican director Robert Reodriguez who made El Mariachi, Desperados, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and directed the short segment: Misbehaviors in the film Four Rooms, and Spy Kids 1-2, and is currently making a zombie movie with Tarantino.

Fear and Loathing is another great film by Terry Gilliam who made the movie absolutely true to Hunter's book. The shots are well thought of, the scenery is great, and for a low budget flick, it really is impressive. I think the actors made the film good otherwise it would have been pure shit as the original choices for Raoul and Gonzo were Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando (really would NOT work out even if they can act well.. I can't imagine the godfather tripping on acid). Tons of credit goes to Hunter for actually choosing Johnny Depp to star thinking he couldn't do the job better than anyone else.
Hunter had a lot to do with why the movie was so great.

I don't get what's so funny about Cheech and Chong, even their first movie wasn't all that great. I really enjoyed the scene when the cops talk to Cheech while he's tripping on acid though.

The first Friday was good but the rest sucked.
I think Don't be a Menace is the best third rate black comedy though.

I heard of Requiem for a Dream being a good stoner flick but it looks so depressing and it's mostly about shooting drugs with needles. Bleh.

I thought the first Mortal Kombat was good to watch high. No one seemed to have mentioned it ever.
