Hi Justin, sounds like an interesting night. None of the below is going to cost more than a couple of dollars, spend 99% of your money on good dope! There are a lot of psychological tricks and things you could do to make the high better, but in terms of where you get stoned and what's in the room with you when you do, there are a few simple things to sort out - some of which I'm sure you'll already know.

1)No TV, telephones, loud music (unless it's fairly light, like Enya or Pink Floyd, which it's fine to listen to loud over headphones as a practise), or bright lights.
2)The temperature of wherever you're going to be has to be just high enough so that when the dope starts making you cold you stay comfortable. Have a spare jumper to hand just in case.
3)Eat well, about an hour before you start. Avoid sugary things like cookies and chocolate (avoid soda in particular before and during).
4) Incense will both set your mood and help the high along a lot, but if you're doing this with other people, make sure it's a flavour you all agree on.
5) Preferably get high alone.

Overall, avoid things that will make you think about anything else but being high.
