sensi star is a good indoor strain. if timing is an issue, find strains that have shorter flowering periods.

i have an hps 250 w over eight plants. this is enough because the grow cabinet is very small and the light is reflected very efficiently from the dull side of tin foil. I've never used cfl's but I have read that the more light the better and to keep the lamps within 2 inches of the foliage which requires a lot of daily adjusting. If they are growing in a bigger space, the light would radiate away and be wasted, so the smaller area the better, assuming you can get good ventilation.
I don't know if what I supplied here will be useful but there u have it
