Ok, I have another reminiscent thread.

I just replied to someone else's thread telling them all about this light bulb vaporizer I made, and through my college career, I've built and plan to build much more low-tech McGyver bullshit. I'm just wondering, what's the wierdest piece or device you built out of desperation, or just plain lack of something better to do? Most of my creativity comes from needing to be stealthy.

I guarantee none of you can beat my Gerber bong. I'll include a picture when I can get one. You may be surprised. (baby food jar, highlighter, Bic pen, elmer's glue and some duct tape... )

And to all who don't smoke (like they read this shite) you'd be surprised yourself at how ingenuitive some potheads can be when they need to be stealthy or just don't have the cash to buy a decent piece.

Also, since I mentioned it.. What's the best kind of homemade vaporizer? I personally don't like the sautering iron method, the heat's too difficult to control. But what's your opinion?

i havn't really built bongs...i really prefer smoking spliffs...i like having it in my hand...

sometimes i hot knife buds...pretty much the same as vapourising...fun too!

I've done knife hits. I've tried the lightbulb. I've built bongs out of random shit. I've used my inhaler as a pipe. I've done all kinds of stupid shit just to get high.

Now, I have a couple of glass pieces, and am going to order a vaporizor soon, so I don't really ever consider building anything anymore. The fumes from plastic/foil usually used for bowls are bad for you....vaporized marijuana smoke is not.

anywayz, az fer the homemade shit, well ive been smokin out ov a ghetto bong fer yrz thatz made ov a 600ml pop bottle, the metal antennaz frum ontop ov yer tv, an the metal part frum a cable cord that u plug into the outlet on the wall. workz like a charm. i dun smoke out ov anythin wit bic penz er tape cuz like buddy said the fumez u get frum that shit meltin iz nasty. therez nuttin better then a professional bong.

i built a pipe entirly out of tin foil one time and a four hosed hookah out a 3 liter bottle some copper pipe surgical tubes and poster tack using only a small screwdriver and a butter knife. but thats about it

Dude, I totally hear you on this. I personally love to make my own pieces, it's fun to just get an idea and run with it. Plus, your new piece is gaurenteed to be a one of a kind.

I've made some pretty tight pipes out of copper pipes.
I stole a massive graduated cylinder from my school and made an awesome steamroller which I christened "The BEAST"
The obligatory pen-one'ys. easy to make-and need a small amount to bake
I made a bong out of a Sobe bottle. The lizards on the bottle added to the sweetness.
Gravity-bongs out of 20 ozs with the bottom cut out and a coffee can with water.
I'm workin on a hooka that gonna be made out of a Sun Tea Jar and polyeurtethane hoses.
