My First Ever Baby...Flowering!! Keeping updates here on out...

    Here are the basics:

    - Started from bagseed (of random good bud) in a soil cube.
    - Sprouted above the soil on May 9th.
    - Grew about a week in the starter tray.
    - Transplanted to a gallon container
    - After about 3 to 4 weeks transplanted to what I think is AROUND a 5 gal. container. It'll finish the grow in this. I like the idea of using buckets outside so I can move them if needed!
    - Topped the main cola stem twice, creating 4 tops
    - Topped the side branches once, doubling each side branch (except for the smaller ones on the bottm
    - Veg. for 2 months...started flowering on July 9th.
-Temps around here have not gone below 70 during the day or above 95 for pretty much the whole grow. Night times are usually in the 60s or 70s. Overall avg I would say 83 degrees during the day, and about 67 at night. Occasionaly storms...which I let water the plants most of the time.

I waited till it was about 3 or 4 weeks until I fertilized it. I usually did half doses every 2 or 3 times watering it. I misted them a lot in the beginning with different mixtures. Water, water and epsom salts, water and ferts. I flushed for 3 waterings when it started flowering. I have since started using flowering ferts.

Veg Fert: Peter's Professional All Purpose Plant Food (I added 1 tsp of epsom salts with this) I think it is 24-16-18 and has almost all the micronutrients except for sulfur and magnesium (hence epsom salts)
Flower Fert: Vigoro All Purpose Plant Food 15-30-15 with all the micronutrients as the Peter's except sulfur and magnesium. I also add a tsp of bone meal to a gallon of water, shake it up a few times a day, and let it sit.... I let them sit open a few days before I use them since I get it from wal mart (hard water), so I try and dissolve some Bone Meal into the water...some of it seems to dissolve so I think Im going to keep doing it.

Concern: It's been flowering a week and 3 days in the pics. I am kinda concerned with the yellow fan leaves. Isn't it kind of early for them to be yellowing?? Could it be N deficiency? Nute lockout? Geesh, theres too many things it could be...annnddd I could just be worrying too much because its my first baby and I dont want to mess it up Any thoughts would be great!!

Any tips would be great also!!

I will add pics from here to the end hopefully. So please give me some tips as I go!!

Alright I was bored so I got some more info...

She is officially 71 days old today.
She vegged for 60 days exactly...outside
She has since been flowering...11 days...outside
I cover her up at about 6:30 every night and uncover her at dark... So that's a light cycle of just above 12/12 by like 30 minutes...I'll keep covering for a month probably...until the days are short enough...
She is 2 feet 2 inches tall... and 1 foot 6 inches wide...on day 71

I also sat her in the shade for today because temps are supposed to be in the 90s!!

Pics: The 4 branches are what came from what would have been the main cola. The blurry bud pic is a lower branch bud, not one off the top canopy. There is a picture of a side branch I topped as well. A top picture, sorry about the flash! And then a side shot...above the waste haha. Yes that leaf is yellowing and has a slightly burnt tip...I know...

Any tips hints or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: I'll get flamed...I know it...but, what strain does that resemble to you? lol I know it's probably impossible to tell..but it's worth a shot. The most fingers on the leaves are 7. You can see how fat/skinny they are... even a sativa dom/indica dom/mix identification would be great! Just guess...I don't care haha

My First Ever Baby...Flowering!! Keeping updates here on out...

Temps hit 90 again today. I kept her in the shade most of the day except early morning because it wasn't toooo hot. There was noticeable little spurt in bud growth. Not much for anyone else, but for my first grow it's pretty cool and easy to see when you look at it a few times a day!

Haven't nuted her for 1 watering and a few mists. One more water and Im going to fert her a mixture I concocted...I am satisfied with whatever happens when I use it because I just want to learn and know more for future bigger better grows. But I am kinda thinking hoping this will work. Well we will seeee!!

90 views and no comments?? Where's the love??

EDIT: sorry about the double post!!! ignore above post... stoner moment

    GRRRR...

I want to say that the 5 minute edit window gets me every time after I make post when I've been :stoned: ... Ill get better I promise...but Death Racer about the white hairs and flowering...

First there were preflowers. Before ANY white hairs. I think if let grown large enough and mature enough in veg, plants will show preflowers after a certain amount of time. This girl showed preflowers after Id say a little bit longer than a month and a half. I cant say this all the time but on this particular plant the preflowers were basically calyxes with no white hairs. The preflowers never had hairs but they definitely didnt look like balls. I kinda noticed that whatever my first instict was the very first time I saw preflowers, it was right. So I say go with your gut. The white hairs in the actual flowering part came on slowly for about a week or so after the light switch for flowering and will continue to grow as time passes I hope!

Shes been flowering 2 weeks and 1 day at the end of the today. I may or moy not get pictures up today haha. She is doing good. The temps have been around or above 90 about the last few days so I've been giving her a drink and setting her in a shadier area.

The temps yesterday and today (go figure) have been just below 80 and I sat her back out in the sun.

Tomorrow and the next few days are supposed to be 90 and above some more... what I should I do to my girl to make sure she is peachy through the heat? A little more water? Keep doing what Im doing (put her in shade) ?

    Thanks guys!!!

The yellowing has slowed down at least. I think it wasn't getting enough N. Once I started the flowering ferts, which still has a good healthy shot of N it, it seemed to slow it down. They're still slowly fading...but they aren't going from dark green to neon yellow in a day or two anymore. The buds are starting to fill in and I'm starting to see the top buds form where the nodes seem to grow together because the buds get so big and fluffy And the frosty appearance of trichomes is a site to see! It doesn't look dipped in sugar or anything...but it's definitely started producing trichomes on and around the buds as well. I would have pics up but I didn't take my camera out with me when I put her in for dark. I think this is the last week I will cut her hours down. That will make 4 weeks I forced her into 12/12 by putting her inside a sealed room in my barn. (Yes I did use a big ass trash bag for a while but I got tired of that so I used a whole bunch of big ass trash bags to cover up an old chicken coop that I now set her in around 7 pm at night. I also felt bad when I would take off the trash bag and see the little bit of damage it did to the plant. Not much, but enough to make me feel bad ).

By then the light will be JUST ABOVE (by 5 minutes) 14 hours of light, sun-up to sun-down not counting that glowing dawn and dusk period. Would it be safe to let her finish flowering without putting her into dark anymore?? Or would she run the risk of reverting to veg????

Any input is greaattllyyyy appreciated in case you forgot!

All this is boring to some of the advanced growers I'm sure, but we were all newbies once and I'm sure you can remember how exciting your first grow was
