    hight/yield ratio

Just harvested my first buds since building my growroom(s). I let my two plants get really tall (4-5 feet). I'm using a 400W HPS for flowering, and a seperate room with 4 ft. flourescents for veg.

I have my second batch in veg right now and they're 7"-8". What is the optimum height to move them to the flowring room?

If I flower 4 plants that are 1 foot tall, will they yield as much bud as 2 plants that are 3 feet tall? Just trying to figure out how to maximize my output.

Does anyone have any info on plant hight/yield ratio?

Dude as far as i know there is no direct relation between height and yield, it all depends on the strain and the conditions u grow ur plants that is going to determine the final result yield and quality wise...there is no optimum height for flowering, u can flower ur plants any time u want, what u should be aiming its not height but the plants age, imo u should veg the plant long enough as it would in veg in outdoor conditions so aim to at least 4 weeks in veg....plants that are flowered at 1 foot tall can reach 4-5 feet in flower and plants that are veged 2 feet tall might only get at 3 feet after flower so once again there is no direct relation between these to cycles....so i´ve read.

with a 400 watt light I would leep the plants under 3 foot you will not get good enough light penatration for any taller of a plant. If you had better lighting then yes a 4-5 is going to yeild more but with less light all the bottom will be scragly shit that is pretty useless for anything other than hash. I have always found that in any given sq footage if fully covered in canopy whether you have 5 bigger plants or 10 smaller plants it will yield pretty much the same it all really depends on your light.

Yeah, my plants were very topheavy. The bottom buds were tiny. Still waiting on it to dry to try it out. Next time I'm going to flower at about 20 inches and see what happens.

how big is your space?what i would do with a 400 watt light is to section off an area about 2.5 by 3 feet.that is 7.5 square feet so you will get a little more than 50 watts per square foot which is perfect.my preferance is sea of green so i would pack about 20 clones in there and flower yeilding about 4 ounces give or take.but if you want taller plants i would put 5 or 6 and flower around 12 to 14 inches, they will finish between 2 and 3 feet and yeild a little more than sea of green but it will also take an extra 3 or 4 weeks to get the height you want.hope that i was helpful.i have been involved in cultivation since i was about 11 but it was all outdoor.i recently started indoor.cant wait to see how things went
I wish I had the balls to really grow cannabis but since I don\'t I\'ll just keep talking this fiction.
