Why is my seedling browing??

I think it was too early for that plant for nutes. I altleast wait till my plant is 5 times that big before I give nutes,but I am new to indoor also. I heard plants have enough nutes to last them 3 weeks after they sprout. Am I wrong?

No, that's true they don't need nutes for quite a while.

But sprouting seeds in rockwool, well, that's a pain because normally the dirt would provide nice low levels of nutrients to the tiny plant after it uses up the reserves in the cotyledons.

That's why I always like to see newbs grow in dirt first just to get a feel for the plant.

Only 1 has come up.. its about .5 inch tall, starting on its 2nd set of leaves but the first set is browing on the tips as well as the new growth, plz see pics. I'm using perlite as the medium, but i have grow rocks that i can use. I just fed her for the 1st time FloraNova Grow 1/2 of what the bottle says. Not sure why its browning on the tips and the new growth.. Please help? // Rating: 5
