Please help... Zandor, Garden Knowm, Latewood, BobBong,

    Hey Guys! :smokin:

I am not trying to double post a thread or anything but I have searched threads and when you type in something regarding my particular question about smell I can't find anything useful. They are all posts about containing smell with carbon scrubbers or how great their weed smells...

I am just trying to figure out if there is anything I can do to get two of my plants to stop smelling like dirt. I can't really explain the smell well, but my other plants have the standard MJ smell but two of them are still growing, albeit it slower, but they smell like grass clippings and dirt.

Is this a nute problem? A fungus problem? I flushed the plants a week ago and then this smell started...what can I do?

    Thanks!

Someone told me that maybe the smell was coming from stored up silt in the soil or something and that it just needs to dry out, but the soil is completely dry now and the smell is still there. It isn't strong or anything? But when I stick my nose up to the plant it doesn't smell like MJ just like dirt and grass.

    Are the plants from bagseed?
I've smoked strains before that smelt and tasted like dirt. One of the strains was practically nothing but red hair and as latewood would say 'it knocked my dick in the dirt'.

yes it is...so you are saying that some strains smell like dirt? It doesn't having anything to do with improper growing?

Thats hard to figure out from a discription like dirt.
    Too vague.
Is it a bad smell? Like sulfar farts?
    Or just a musky smell.
Because plants smell wierd when they are alive sometimes.
I would just use some Sea Bird and Bat Guano and sea kelp for the taste.

But you could be smelling root rot.
    It's hardto say.
    If it is that.
    You need more drainage.

If the plant were suffering from root rot, wouldn't it affect the plants growth? The plants are still growing quite well and the buds are filling out, but the two plants with the MUSKY (now that you mention it that describes it well) smell aren't developing as many trichomes.

Maybe I got two different strains from the bagweed? I don't know...:smokin:

    Thanks Jdog7000!
