Lowryder UK Greenhouse GrowI am about 1 month into a Lowryder grow from seed.

I purchased from Seedsman.com with excellent delivery (2 days) and great packaging. The Lowryders came in the Highbred.net packaging which is like a strong plastic which won't collapse or be crushed.

I actually had a good email/chat with the guy who runs the seedbank and he's a stand-up guy and nice chap to boot.

This was around the middle of June so this batch have had a month now. I have 2 girls for sure.

I was so impressed with the genetics that I ordered some more - this time going for a Lowryder/Santa Maria cross. These are currently in small pots and I have 7 or so doing fine. They are only 2 weeks old though.

Now this is why seedsman is so cool....

With my order I got some free Durban Skunk seeds - they are old stock so they sent me about 150.

 No I'm not kidding.

Lowryder UK Greenhouse GrowOK some pics of packaging and some close ups of the boys and girls showing how different they are - this will be of interest to some I guess as it was a new for me - this being my first grow. Minds are like parachutes, they both work best when open.

Lowryder UK Greenhouse GrowPersonally I think they are pretty big for Lowryders.

The two girls (shown together in 2nd pic) are about 12 and 14 inches tall. However we have had great weather - loads of sun for the fast few weeks so maybe they have just grown quick.

Do they looked stretched to you guys and girls in growland?

If they are stretching then I'm not sure what I can do about it as they are relying on the Sun - I can't bring it any closer

Anyway I wanted to post the close ups of the boys and girls because I had trouble finding a good picture myself. When they show though its obvious - even though this was my first grow I could tell after about 20 days.

Right now they are getting some early morning sun outside - back in the greenhouse later.Minds are like parachutes, they both work best when open.

Lowryder UK Greenhouse GrowFor anyone interested they are potted with B+Q standard compost (£2.99 cheap!) with Bar Cave Bat Guano mixed in. I picked up 2 kilos on ebay for £10.

I only give them filtered water - that's it.

No other ferts as I'm trying this one OrganicMinds are like parachutes, they both work best when open.

Lowryder UK Greenhouse Growmate u know that they are males right, look on the midle pic, thats pollen!! you need to kill the males if you want for your girls to produce lots of resin. those are pollen balls, the are on a raized catalax. chop them now. i know its a hard thing to do but it has to be done man

Lowryder UK Greenhouse GrowI think he knows that, maybe he wants to get some seeds...
by the way guys, i'd like to get seeds from my little trees too... but only partially. is it possible to pollinate girls manually, ie some parts of the plant or fully one plant from the whole greenhouse (4-5 trees).
and doing this trick simply let one girl develop seeds meanwhile others in the same greenhous will grow only thier big buds?
or it is just my dream?

Lowryder UK Greenhouse GrowUmmm... he said in a post a couple above yours that he wants to pollinate the females. He wants the seeds. (as we all do heh). I'll be pollinating my own Lowryders this season as well. Probably every single female Lowryder is going to get done.

One thing that I'll be doing is getting a nice, soft bristle pain brush (new) and hand pollinate. I don't always trust mother nature to do what I need to have done. And without a decent breeze, I probably won't get as many seeds from the crop.

Good luck with your grow, it looks wonderful! So far I've planted 3 Lowryder seeds that all germinated, and last night did three more. I have them in an organic soil that is fairly coarse. As soon as I have some decent pics I'll start a jounal, until then they just look like little babies, not much to see :P

 Lowryder UK Greenhouse GrowThanks everyone

Yes I fully intend to pollenate them but I'm going to try something...

After nicking Sabrinaleena's paintbrush idea (thank you! that's brilliant) I'm going to try and manually pollenate just some of the plants buds.

At the moment I can see plenty of sites to pollenate. Counting individual clusters I have at least 8-12 areas on each female.

What I'm planning on is manually pollenating the lower ones and leaving the top main cola alone. That way (hopefully) I will get some seeded bud (as planned) and some sensi for testing purposes.

What I'm not 100% sure of is how "early" I can pollenate? If the white hairs are clearly sticking out (which they are - up to 1cm long) then I assume I can just transfer pollen on to them? I didn't know if they needed more time etc.

Once I have done this I was planning on bagging any remaining pollen (for storage just in case) and then chopping the males. I have another male on the way (10 days behind) so I could get more pollen later if needed.

I will try and get a pic soon so you can see the girls close up and see what I mean. They are barely a month old I can't believe how much they have grown in such a short time!!Minds are like parachutes, they both work best when open.
