I was working at a used music store (perfect grounds to find smokers), and I quickly found out that most of my coworkers smoked. But the biggest (and nicest) surprise came when I found out that my boss smoked. There's such a liberating feeling when you find out your boss smokes, and wants to smoke with you.

When he was working, we'd always close early, light some incense, and just blaze up right there in the store. It was great.

Not only did he smoke, he became my new dealer/friend. He had the best stuff. Instead of dreading work, I came to love it, especially when that boss was my boss that night. During work, the boss actually had stuff to do, so he couldn't really smoke. So me and my coworker would take a break to the bathrooms, cram into a stall (which is hard cause she's like, 300 lbs), and make the bathroom ultra stanky and smokey with our two glass pipes. It was great. We'd leave the bathroom and barely be able to walk back to the store.

Or if I decided to smoke with my other coworker, we'd end up going up to the roof, which was always a treat. We'd look over the city and smoke a few bowls. Oftentimes we'd smoke a j and then a few bowls. So we'd get pretty toasty up there.

Luckily, there are couches in the window display, so I'd sometimes end up lounging on there, grabbing a soda and watching the tv which is also in the window display. It felt kinda weird, cause my store was on a busy street and ppl would constantly be staring at me in the display cause I guess it was an odd sight. But oh well, I was relaxed. If anything, maybe it drew more customers in to see me so relaxed.

When I actually had to work, it was sometimes hard. If we smoked too much (which was quite often), our eyes would be so red and puffy, we could barely open them. And I'd feel so lightheaded it was kinda hard just to stand. It goes without saying that many, many, many CDs were misplaced because of our smoking. So if you ever go to a used music store and find Elvis in the techno section, it might just be bc of a smoker like me.
