This is the kind of lack of knowledge we encounter every day!!
Go look up Terry Parker. On July, 31, 2001 he killed the law. In 2003 Alison & others went to court over the MMAR not being constitutional. They undermined the efforts of Parker & Turmel. The judge resurrected a dead law that day. This is not possible for a judge to do.
Shortly after that the Crown announced that he was giving stays to everyone who had pot charges against them between 2001 & 2003.
This is an oxymoron situation because the law was repealed, dead, thus the stays, yet a court says they fixed it. Only Parliament can make new laws.
The supreme court of Canada refused to hear the appeal by the Crown (Frankel) in the Kreiger case. In his submissions he admitted the law was dead & needed to get in to the highest court in Canada in order to fix it.....they denied his appeal.

Case closed the law is STILL dead!!!
