Musicians! Was this a good deal or no?!

yeah kinda of wierd about the your SG is it being a fender but i would definitly say a good deal
i have a 70's reissue strat which is amazing and a epiphone SG which i also adore SG's have an amazing feel and vibe. but my strat just screams malmsteen haha.

isnt it a truss rod that you adjust in the neck because when i think of tremlo i think of a tremlo bar being a whammy bar but i dunno

and would that happen to be a bently acoustic in the background my friend has a black one which is amazing looks like same headstock

I'm not passing judgement. I made a life out of playing music, he asked the opinion of a musician, and i gave it to him. If he really wanted to prevent an "old friend" from going homeless he would of done something so his "old friend" didnt lose his guitar.
One sure way to make sure a friend becomes an "old friend" , is to take advantage of them.
I guess asking what others think isnt always a good idea, eh?
You might hear things you dont want to hear.

you better start shredding on it like dime
The above post is fictional and should in no way be taken as truth.

If I were to grow cannabis, I would only do so to supply myself and my close friends. Doing this would take myself and my friends out of harms way by knowing the source of our cannabis, as well as take hundreds of thousands of dollars off the black market annually. It would also lower the demand of black market cannabis, and would ultimately help keep cannabis out of the hands of minors.

Whoa friend, you don't even know the whole story. First off, an old friend means my old junky friends, who really weren't my friends. Second, he offered the guitar to me for $200, but the top 3 strings didn't ring out, so I offered him $150, and he accepted.

I didn't take advantage of this person. They wanted money, that minute. Have you ever dealt with a hard drug user? Yeah, I'm going to start preaching to this person and help them. Been there, done that, and hard users are the most stubborn. He was happy about the deal, and so was I.

I'm not here to help the world get off drugs. I didn't rip him off, or treat him like dirt. I offered him a toke and he declined. He was in search for something else, which I could not help him with.

I'm sorry if I have my own life to deal with first then junkies who don't want to quit.

I asked an opinion about the guitar, not about the situation, so if you have something creative to say, ABOUT THE GUITAR, then I'd be glad to hear it, but I did not rip him off or treat him any less than a human. I have my own ass to worry about and my alcoholic best friend who I am trying to save from killing himself. I can't help every person who walks in the world.

Oh, i see. you are just taking care of the most sick. gotcha.
Here's the deal.
You asked for our opinions. You got mine.
How about being human,... see whats going on with your "old friend", and politely say to him..." as much as i would like to have this guitar, under these circumstances i cant accept it. You'll have to find another who will. I hope you get well. You're not looking very good and i believe your making bad decisions"
What a nice thing that would of been for you to do.

Isnt it nice to ask the opinions of others? Take it like a man.
Nobody is asking you to help every person in the world. I certainly aint. Is it too much to ask that we not take advatage of those less fortunate, or less together, than we are?

As for junkies not wanting to quit? I do not believe that for a moment.
There is no way that any person will ever be able to convince me that a junkie, crack addict, meth addict, or alcoholic, are happy living in, and with their current situation.
Humans make bad judgement calls all the time. It is up to us to NOT take advantage of them when we see them making those bad calls.
That could be you, me, your family member, etc etc. Dont think it couldnt. I'm sure those who are now stuck never believed it could happen to them.

If your goal is to take advantage of those who have lost control, you will probably be very "successful" in doing so. There are many people who have lost it.

You might go to church
sit down in a pew
those humans who aint human
are sitting right next to you
they talk about your family
they talk about your woes
when they dont know their own ass
from their own elbows:thumbsup:

Anyways...

I maybe think it's a Squier model...? It has the serial number on it still and I've been looking for e-mail support to e-mail at Fender. Now my mind has me really wondering what this guitar actually is. There are no company markings on the body, at all.

Peace.
