You could beiuld a small scale wick system with 2 liter bottles. Just cut the bottle in half, use the bottom end as the rez and then put the top upside down back into the bottom half.(pointy end down). Fill the bottom half of the bottle halfway with water, put wick halfway into water and then thread the rest through the top of the bottle(remember its upside down) Then fill the top half with dirt and you would have a self watering system. The problem is I've just heard that in 4 days I have to leave for a week. For starters I'm housing the plants in a cupboard with a simple tl setup but do you guys have any idee of how I can keep the soil moist for a week while I'm gone?
