No he wasn't tripping she was a cop too and he did not always watch himself there was another cop in a suit watching as well. They took turns when he was off duty the other cop was watching but Reeves knew he was being watched all the time. His friends did not know. I think you are being confused by the changing suits the cops wear.
it is a confusing movie.

Ok ok that makes sense. Yes it was, in fact midway through I though the confusion was apart of the movie. One last question, if he was watching himself part time, how did he not realize he was Bob?

Another questiom, why were they "after or looking for" Arctor in the first place when he worked for them?

They were watching Arctor to use him to infiltrate the Oh I can't remember the name...the people that were suppose to get people off D....police at the top including Winona Ryder were trying to prove these people were behind the drug to begin with.
He knew he was Arctor but the cops at the lower level didn't. None of the lower level cops knew each other. Maybe you should watch it again I bet it will fall into place then

Ah, ok ok I get it. Those were the only things I was confused on, just didn't fit. I actually am planning on watching it again for other reasons haha.

Then as I'm waiting in line I see the movie again in the middle of a snack rack!! I was totally aware that it must have been some sign or some shit, but I surprisingly kept the movie I wanted to see anyway.
I really should rent it though...soon.

The movie follows the story line of the original novel VERY closely.so if you read the book by Philip K Dick and liked it, you will most likely enjoy the movie as well.It has a twist ending that will surprise most people (at least those who DIDNT read the novel.)

I'm surprised this movie isn't better known amongst stoners. I watched it tripping (on DXM, btw) the first time, and by the time the first song started playing I knew I was in for a ride.

I was super baked when me and my girlfriend seen this at the movies. She snuck in some henny in her purse and we proceeded to get drunk and confused as the movie went on.
I thought the acting was good, but the story wasn't that engaging, Then again I was drunk and high.
