Hydro question

Ok, so I am a little unsure of this whole ppm level thing. I have the Hannah PH/PPM meter ($200). I use MetaNatural nutes 16-0-0 for veg. Now, I added quite a bit of nutes to my resavoir and checked the ppm..it was only like 50ppm and for the seedlings i have i want around 400. So, I dumped some more nutes in there and it read 150. Now the water is heavily cloudy (black) and im just wondering if that is normal. It seems to get to 400 i would have to dump all my nutes in there..Maybe it has something to do with the 16-0-0 nutes? Need help!

sounds like you need to calibrate your meter. If not test your nute's ppms and see if maby thats your problem. hope that helps.

Nope, meter is calibrated. I got the Calibration solution from the hydro store and its real close to what the solution is.
