The bud came from previous grow. That crop, which was only 2 small plants, yielded 5 ounces of bud and an ounce of good leaf. But that was pretty pitiful, as I had to force that grow to go fast so I could leave town for a bit. The cabinet pic is current, and not due for harvest until next month, so no idea what the yield will be. But it *looks* about 3-4 times as big as the 6-ounce grow. I'm sure it can't be THAT much though, as there are only 640 watts of lights going (65,000-ish lumens). If I had to guess, probably a pound+, but I won't know for sure til I whack 'em and dry 'em.

Well, I dry for a week in the big cabinet, with the fans going to give good airflow, and with the lights off. After it's all dry, then I do the manicuring, clip the trim leaves off and separate the buds. Then they go into mason jars, and for the first week I open the jars daily for an hour or three. After the first week I watch for accumulating moisture inside the jars and if there is any, that jar gets opened up for an hour that day. After 7 weeks in the jars, the jars go into the refrigerator. Nothing fancy or complicated in the curing process.

I read that water-curing works quicker, but drains all the good smell out of the buds and makes 'em look like shit. I like nice-looking, good-smelling buds, so I'm not even going to try water-curing. The only downside to the jar method is the eight weeks it can take to cure them fully, but I can live with that.
