It was Belgian Ale, but I stopped using it.

It was just an experiment to see what would happen. Surprisingly, the plant stayed alive but it didn't seem to grow much. I was alternating between beer and water after I put it in soil. I might try 100% light beer (no water) with a future plant and see what happens.

Now this same plant is getting MG for Tomatoes and it's right under a little skylight so it's like a mini greenhouse, but with more ventilation. Someday I'll take pictures of the miracle beer plant and post them. It only has 3 leaves on each stem so I think it might be a male but I'm not sure yet - it's still too small.
MidnightToker54 Reviewed by MidnightToker54 on . Would beer have an effect on my plants? I had a seedling with a long skinny stem and very small leaves that didn't look too healthy. So I ripped it out of the soil and put it in a half-full beer bottle as a joke like it was a vase. I forgot about it for a few days and when I saw it again, it was still growing. The bottom leaves were holding it up and the roots were hanging in the beer. I figured it would mold eventually, so I put it back in the soil, and wet the soil down with a few more sips of beer. For about a week since then, my Rating: 5
