Yeah, I knew I'd be outvoted in a big way when it started. For one thing, I'm totally out-manned. Guys are a lot more comfortable with flames and heated insults than ladies are. I still had to vote with my heart, even knowing I'd lose. Manners still matter a lot to me. Maybe because I'm still working at fine-tune parenting in the art of manners to a young man. It's an uphill battle.

I'm against personal attacks on fellow posters, and intentional, habitual offenders should be warned and then banned.

I do support the total freedom to express controversial opinions on issues. If someone wants to compare Bush to Hitler, or claim that the holocaust never happened ..... back it up and come hard with it.

Lastly, as a personal preference, I wish there were less posting (spamming) of article links , without a point taken by the original poster.

Well..I ain't really sure how to vote on this one,it would be nice for folks to behave,but I don't like the idea of too much censoring. I think that forum guidelines should be followed in a general sense,over at Marihemp politics,we are un-moderated there,for the most part and things don't git much out of hand..lol.

I do wish that folks would debate more,the thread topic and not attack the messenger of such,in a personal way..doing so,is just another tactic to distort and discredit,the original thread topic..as well as the messenger.

I reckon that I will abstain for now..till I git yer reply

First of all, hope all is well with you and yours. The only reason I brought this up was because of a post made in the lounge. As for myself, I feel that if your in here debating politics you have a little more going for yourself intellectually than a child and therefore shouldn't need "big brother" watching. Likewise, there should be room for reasonable debate without having to resort to "flaming" but I DO UNDERSTAND that in the heat of battle we all some time lose our cool a bit. (I've stated the same to sundance by the way)

I'm still debating with myself on the free usage of "Zionist" in here based on racial slang.

But then on the other hand it is highly used by peoples of the middle east and others that don't believe that there should have been a Jewish state set up in the middle east.....real catch 22 I guess. I'm just leaving it until instructed differently by the management or until someone makes a complaint that would have to be addressed by sundance.

I also feel that the purpose of this forum wasn't intended to be a back slapping session for those of like views but instead a platform that ALL people can state their opinions and debate issues. I realize that some do post in here for no other reason but to raise some fur but that's kind of what the "ignore" option is about.....hell, pisshead has me on ignore...at least he used to.

This is what I follow for rules in here....no racial attacks (like we have all unfortunately seen in here) and no personal attacks on members by accusing them of unjust things without ANY proof (which is kind of what started this). Just because you lean to the right does not make you DEA or government agent. I'd make a left comparison but really don't feel right about doing it.

Pretty obvious how this poll is going so this is the heads up. If you take a complaint to the lounge, feedback, etc....you better have a legit cause or your ass may be on the block for "personal attacks" based on the rules followed in the other forums.

Hope this seems fair to all and if not, make a statement! THIS is up for open debate also.
