I once did that, in Alberta when i was on a trip with my cousin. He was 21 and i was 15, so we didn't really look like any kind of 'narks'. Anyway , we bought a pipe and a buster and we asked if she might know where we could get some, so she told us to go to some bar , and surely enough, the next day we had an ounce of bomb bud.

i think if your planning on asking a headshop worker.. you should justt become friends with them, and then ask for a hookup when their off work.

there's been a lot of good input here, and any one of these responses could easily describe the reaction of the headshop proprietor. it's pretty unpredictable, but it usually is when you're doing cold calls to locate a source. however, you're not going to get busted for asking anyone about weed. you could even try to talk to a cop about high-traffic areas and as long as he wasn't undercover and you bought it from him, he couldn't bust you. I know no one's going to talk to a cop; it was just an example.

I'd recommend talking to a homeless person. it worked quickly for me when I was dry. the advantages are abundant: they don't have anything to lose, most of them are not paranoid because they know how the streets work, they generally ask very little in return. the only obstacle it seems is understanding the crack-induced drivel that they call language.

IMPORTANT: walk by a guy that's asking for spare change, give him a dollar, and ask for his help. an undercover cop won't be asking for spare change since it's technically illegal. undercovers aren't allowed to come up to you, you have to approach them with your proposal otherwise it's entrapment or something

I live in San Francisco, where we have lots of houseless people. I am very lucky to be able to grow my own. I also agree with you that many people with no homes are quite connected to things that many with homes arent..., like who the street dealers are. That being said, ...i urge all who utilize houseless people for assistance that you make it worth their while. Give them a few bucks, a bud, a handshake, etc etc.
I also wouldnt put much faith into the police following legal procedures. Undercover cops that are involved in the drug trade lie more than any other cop.., even in court, according to former San Jose Police Chief...ummmm, fuck i forgot his name. But he is very outspoken against the drugwar now.
    Police lie their asses off.

How does one find a connection?

but I actually DID have a great connection: 17-year-old hi school kid I met thru my 16-year-old niece (her boyfriend)- he fixed me up with a phat bag - but I got paranoid that I was contributing to the deliquency of a minor and would B arrested, and also felt really odd that my niece even KNEW I burned (of course she does all the time!)...so I decided not to get his cell phone number. Now of course I'm dry and my niece has broken up with her BF who has sinced changed numbers. Darn! But I DID feel weird doing business with a hi school kid as I am in my 40s. Oh well...

Well I merged your two threads and I think you got some answers to your questions........this is REAL close to looking for a hook-up here so in all fairness I'm just going to close it instead of deleting it. Sorry but forum rules state no sales or looking for hook-ups. I know you weren't but like I said....this is REAL borderline.

Have a good one and good luck!
