Sleeping after getting high [INSOMNIA OR GOOD SLEEP] ?

Sometimes after a good smoking session I'll get sleepy and be able to go to sleep right away and have a good night sleeping

other times i'll just stay awake all night until the morning online, the phone, watching t.v., i start thinking a lot and it's really hard to go to sleep.

The Past few nights it's been really hard to go to sleep. I'm thinking it's the strain of weed.

What about you guys?

Yeah I think it will be weather it is an Indica or Sativa based weed
I find it very easy to get to sleep after I have smoked, but I was reading the other day that it's not good for your circadian rhythm (i think thats how it's spelt) as it interferes with your REM period of sleep such in the way alcohol does.

I don't know....mayeb beachguy has a link that proves me wrong....as I may have completly misunderstood what i was reading:stoned:

i usually dont smoke a couple hours before i go to bed. i usually feel pretty tired and have no trouble sleeping. if i smoke a bowl and then try to go to bed it never works.

I usually find it easier to sleep. Last night after my big smoking session I slept for 13 hours!

I have different 'modes':

I can smoke multiple bowls a day and fall asleep without smoking right before bed. Just tire myself out.

I can smoke a single bowl before I go to bed and go right to sleep. By 'right before bed', I mean within 30-45 mins if hitting the pillow.

Now...If I say smoke like 2 or 3 bowls in a day, I'll have to smoke right before I go to sleep otherwise I end up staying all night. To smoke multiple bowls and just fall asleep...it takes likes 5 or 6 bowls in a day. It also depends on the quality of herb.

It all depends on my moods, ya know? Like, for me, 4 am is when I used to go to sleep. But, Monday I got some prescription sleeping pills, just to let me try them out when I need them the doctor said, and so I've been taking them since Tuesday at 1 am and I'll pass out at 1:30 or so.

Before the pills, if I were to smoke and lay down in my bed, I'd want to stay up and watch TV, because I think passing out right after you smoke is a waste of a good high. I want to do something while I'm high, j00 know? So I'd say that I find it hard to sleep when I smoke.

Last night though! PHEW! I took my pill around 12:30 and laid down. 1:15 creeped up, and I still hadn't fallen asleep. I wondered if it was because I had a somewhat full stomach last night, so it would take longer to hit me. So, I got up, packed a bowl and laid back down on top of my covers and smoked up.

It was like both things hit me at once. The pills I'm taking are called Ambien, and I don't really have a PRESCRIPTION for them, it's more like the doctor gave me a 30 pill try-out period thing. Anyway, Ambien are NUTS! Hypnotic sleep inducers (I looked them up after the first night, lol). The moral of the story is, I felt completely trashed but at the same time I felt this really warm, surging feeling all throughout my body like I was completely RIPPED, even though I only took 3 hits. I tried to stand up and literally just fell back on my bed. So, I just pulled a pillow over my body and passed out.

Weed last night....knocked me on my ASS!! lol
