ya along with what most people said, i also believe it is a maturity factor...you may not see the diffrence in maturity in your-self but i assure your parents notice the diffrence...hell, you should be happy. IM 19 and my parents dont want me smoking. PERIOD. I still do, i just try not to make it obvious...when i have a kid someday, if they ever smoke i hope they are atleast 18...i started smoking when i was 15 and i feel like it was dumb of me, i didnt know what i was getting into.

As a teenager your mind is developing still(even though when your 18 it still is developing),i feel that when a younger being smokes...it gets in the way of things, just because they may not be able to handle it at that age with school and other responsibilities
