inhaling butane vs. inhaling paper
I generally smoke bowls rather than joints, and even then I try not to keep the flame on it for very long (ending up with smaller hits), but I'm wondering... how bad is it for you really to inhale the butane gas from a lighter?
Now I suppose you could say that joints/blunts nearly eliminate that problem, since you usually only have to light it once. But then you have the problem of inhaling a lot of paper, or in some cases tobacco leaves. I'm wondering which option is worse for you. Joints are better than blunts obviously, and you can even get "healthier" unbleached rolling papers, but still, does that make them better than smoking with a pipe?
Another option I came up with once was using the end of a burning stick, such as a skewer, to light my bowl. I would use a candle to keep relighting the stick (a good option if you've got no lighter, but do have a candle and matches). Although that method was kind of cool-looking, it got annoying since a lighter was so much easier, and I realized that I was just inhaling a lot of wood-smoke instead.
I mean obviously none of this is a huge concern if you're already smoking something anyway, but as long as you're smoking and not vaporizing/eating, I'm wondering, basically, what's worse for you: paper or plastic?
and by plastic I means lighter fuel...Trichocereus Panza Reviewed by Trichocereus Panza on . inhaling butane vs. inhaling paper I generally smoke bowls rather than joints, and even then I try not to keep the flame on it for very long (ending up with smaller hits), but I'm wondering... how bad is it for you really to inhale the butane gas from a lighter? haha
but seriously, do you think that would work ??
i've got a "woodburning" tool, i bet it would be too awkward though, and therefore unsafe for being stoned...

It sounds kind of stupid but seriously, matches, get the fire place matches *BIG* and if you get it down, you can get some fat hits of that bowl.
