stabilizing ph question
ok this is my prob, i have a 5 gallon reservoir filled with tap water, which is used to fill up the small bottle sprayers...the thing is that when i fill the 5 gallon i imediatly test the ph, and according to the reading i´ll lower it or raise it with the propper ph solution, until the ph reads between 6.3 and 6.8..The prob is after a couple of days i (take readings every 12 hours or so) the water ph in the 5 gallon container starts to raise usually up till 7.0...i just dont seem to understand why????is it the heat????does the solution take that long to dissolve????What??????

stabilizing ph question
I'm confused.
Small bottle sprayers- is the purpose of this solution foliar feeding?
It is usually recommended not to mix your fert solution until right before you need it.
I don't know why it's rising, but one thing that comes to mind is are you using a 5 gallon pail that used to have joint compound in it? That's a really wild guess.\"Careful what you carry- \'cause the Man is wise- you are still an outlaw in their eyes\" -Steely Dan

stabilizing ph question
If this is municipal tap water EPA says it must NOT be below 6.5 or any higher than 8.5. And 8.5 water would suck actually. Not sure why you would ever need to raise the pH. Municipal water supplies do not vary that much, at least in the East they dont. As asked before, what the hell WAS this bucket used for ? Seems strange your pH is all over the map straight from the tap.
