Marijuana state traveling?
I drove from Chicago to California and then up to Washington a while back. They don't check when you go from state to state. You just drive down the road and the only thing you'll see is a "Welcome to..." sign. The only exception is, like insanity mentioned, California where they have the "agricultural checkpoints" . You drive up to what looks like a toll both and they ask if you have any plants or fruits from another state. You say "no" and drive on.
Just watch your speed when going across the borders. Some states enforce the speed laws more strictly than others. When you go from a state which doesn't seem to care how fast you are going(like Wyoming), to a state that does(like Utah) there are lots a lot of cops waiting at the border to catch speeders.
One other thing, the highways tend to be pretty safe but be careful when you go through the little hick towns out in the middle of nowhere. Cops there tend to be bored and an out-of-state stoner pretty much has a target painted on their back.
