A fresh harvested seed needs to dry and cure before it's viable to grow. It takes about 4-6 months for a seed to dry proper. They can be stored for several years if stored properly.

Zandor- IS freezing the seeds one of the proper methods for a long life for the seeds?

Dude I did not make up this it's just the way it is sorry to burst your bubble.

Hell you may get one or two to pop for you anything is posible. If you lay them out and let them dry complety you may get one or two to pop in about a month. Maybe??

You should have cut clones for mothers then you would have a female plant already.

NO itâ??s never good to freeze the seeds. To store them it's best to use the butter part of your fridge and store then in a film container or similar device and place a few grains of dry rice with the seeds. The rice will absorb any moisture and keep the seeds fresh and ready for quite a long time. I have germinated some seeds that were over 5 years old last year and still got 100% germination rate from them.

Exactly how long you can store them I have no proof but I would think about 7-10 years before they start to degrade to the point where they will not germinate. I only say that because some I have tried before were in that age (I could not remember) but they did not germinate anyway.

lowryder - You could try a food grade dehydrator to dry them out. I am not 100% sure it will work but it's a slow dry process and that is the idea. I would only try it with a few of your seeds just in case.

420mory - It does not matter how you make the seeds they still need to dry out before they are viable as growth seeds.
