A fresh harvested seed needs to dry and cure before it's viable to grow. It takes about 4-6 months for a seed to dry proper. They can be stored for several years if stored properly.

Zandor- IS freezing the seeds one of the proper methods for a long life for the seeds?

NO itâ??s never good to freeze the seeds. To store them it's best to use the butter part of your fridge and store then in a film container or similar device and place a few grains of dry rice with the seeds. The rice will absorb any moisture and keep the seeds fresh and ready for quite a long time. I have germinated some seeds that were over 5 years old last year and still got 100% germination rate from them.

lowryder - You could try a food grade dehydrator to dry them out. I am not 100% sure it will work but it's a slow dry process and that is the idea. I would only try it with a few of your seeds just in case.
420mory - It does not matter how you make the seeds they still need to dry out before they are viable as growth seeds.
