Bad experience
Some friends and I made brownies on friday night. This was my second time trying pot - the first time I loved it, but for some reason this time was just horrible. I became extremely anxious and paranoid and didn't stop having panic attacks for the next 36 hours. Even worse was that my friends left about 2 hours after eating them, so that I was left to panic and freak out all alone in my house for the next two days. It was terrible. I didn't know panic and anxiety were normal, because there was no one around to tell me so, and just... :/. This has pretty much cemented my desire to never do any drugs ever again. I never want to repeat that experience.
I'm writing now because I'm still panicking a little bit, and it's Monday night. I don't even know why. I think it was just such a terrible experience that I'm still scared of not being in control of my body, and being all alone while it happened really sucked. I am normally extremely solitary, and quite a loner usually, but since this experience being alone has completely freaked me out and I am hating it right now :/
I don't know.. anybody experienced the same thing? Any kind of words of security at all? I just want to feel like I did before... no panic, no paranoia, and no loneliness :/ Will this go away eventually (hopefully soon)?Kaleido Reviewed by Kaleido on . Sounds like it was some extremely strong stuff, but since you only did it once before it might have been too soon to eat it in brownies. I started a very long time ago, but have never eaten any. I did much stronger psychedelic drugs when I was young, like LSD and mescaline, and occasionally had effects like that. It's not bad for you, if you learn from the experience.
It will definitely wear off - I wouldn't worry. Try to avoid caffeine, get rest, and eat healthy.
Maybe next time, have a toke or two rather than eating it. You didn't give any indication of your age. I also think that it's better if you're over 18 or so years old.

Actually, the first time I tried it was in brownies as well. I've never actually smoked it. I think it was extremely strong this time though... my friends didn't have very strong reactions to it, but they're also more experienced with it than I am, and I think their tolerances are higher from more frequent use.
Your post makes me feel a lot better though. Thanks :]
I'm 18, btw.

If I had to guess, I would just say that it was a stronger type of chronic that you weren't really used to. Also, I thought that it was the fact that you were eating brownies instead of smoking (it hits you harder when consumed like that) but then you said that you had done brownies before.. hmm... I dunno. It was probably just stronger bud. Just know your limits to what you can be exposed to (try smoking bud, it's a completely different feeling!). Hope it helps!

when ever i smoke dope i always get panic attacks and anxiety now...it sucks i never use to, but becuase im addicded to the shit (mentally) i cant get away from it because theres that few mins of total relaxation after that first cone which i always want.
i think its all about the enviroment you smoke it, like i smoked it at school everyday all day all this year and its started to get the better of me, ive now dropped outa school cause i cant handle it anymore. the paranoia has gotten to much and i just cant take it. i admit dope has fucked up my education.
im thinkin of seeing a doctor cause i constanly got anxiety.
ive been in the situations you have been in and you just gotta sit back, think positive thoughts and get through it.

Just sit back, relax, breathe. Take a few deep breaths, listen to the radio, read a book, have some tea. Just be easy...
You probably should consider quitting for a while, if not permanently. Herbs aren't for everyone and you don't want to limit yourself in life. If it's having negative effects, then your body chemistry just isn't for it. Good luck, be easy......I said my piece, so now, I hush.

i got really paranoid the day i smoked, and the day after i smoked my second time. i didn't feel like eating and i was depressed all day, but then i smoked the following night and it went away. you just need to take it with a grain of salt and tell yourself it'll go away soon. just keep smoking and it'll go away, atleast it did for me.
