fridging before harvest?

It's a cheap trick for color. Only try it at the end and the longer you keep it in there the more color you can get to a point. Too much and it just dies off. The cold and lack of food even thought you give it the proper light cycle will force the plant to use up stored energy. Just like the outdoors when you harvest in mid to late October.

my mom's ex bf used to take his plants and put them out in the cold weather on the porch for 10 minutes at a time. It was like 30 degrees outside. It used to make the plants create more trichomes to keep the plant alive. Techinically pot is one of the last green plants around when it gets cold outside and thats how hunters find it growing sometimes. If the plant has no bud then it would die but if they have buds then the buds will keep the plant alive.
try putting it in the fridge for 15 minutes at a time for a few times a day.

wow harmoni, that makes sense to me i think. that explains why bud grown in CO has so many crystals on it.
Zandor i do realise that it wont increae potency but i just want um purple... cuz i am a stoner and want to turn my buds purple...

It should turn most strains purple and add some other colors too. Don't feel bad the local clubs here are asking everyone to grow purple plants for them...hahahah

If you want some real color try to find some Black Russian seeds (if you can) that is color with attitude. :smokin:

You can get them in seed..they are hard to find and expensive but they are still out there. I got mine a few years ago from a company in Jamica. They cost me 200 bucks for 10.

is it possible to ruin my buds if i put my entire plant in the fridge like stated above? (for the last night before harvest)

Like, it is possible for the plant (and buds) to die over night?

Hopefully no law enforcement idiot destroys the black russian clones if it's only avaliable in clones cuz that looks nice.
